Yes, it is possible and yes, it has happened to me now. I have been working out every single week since I arrived here in Calgary with the exception of last week when I was at home with fever (spring flu of some sorts). Every week we have been going to gym 2-3 times a week and yoga 2-3 times a week. My husband has been putting together the exercises for us in the gym – shoulders and legs one day and chest and back the next time always with at least 20 min of cardio. I have been selecting the yoga classes to go to. And we love it. We like going together and doing the exercises together. We enjoy steam room at the gym after exercise. We also like going for a pint sometimes after the gym or yoga. The latter we haven’t done for 3 weeks when we were detoxing, but we are looking forward to incorporating that back into our little routine at least on Fridays.
And we can also see the results. I have lost almost 4 kg and some centimetres from around the critical measuring points and have gained some around my arms and shoulders. My husband has lost almost 5 kg and can close the belt one notch closer. I am sleeping better and feel stronger in general. Feeling stronger can also come from sleeping better and sleeping better can come from not having a stressful job at the moment, but I believe that they are also related to working out. I’m also hoping that when we go skiing over Easter I will last a bit longer on the cross country than I did a year ago.
Now my husband has put together a new training plan with different exercises – they say that your body gets used to the exercises and does not work as hard otherwise. I am going back today for the first time after a week’s break because of the fever, it will be interesting to see how well I fare.
