Finally got around to it! I have been in Calgary already 10 days and recorded my experiences with status updates in FB, but decided that I need to keep my promise and start a proper blog.

I had done a little search online on what to use as my software, google search obviously suggested blogger.com. To my surprise, I discovered that I had used it some time ago for a conference job. But made up my mind based on looking at what my friends who have blogs have used and decided to try out WordPress. I have a little aspiration to grow my blog into a webpage later and online research suggests that WordPress should be suitable for it.

Had some difficulties also deciding what to name my blog and what to write about myself. My husband would have said that I should have made a long term plan for the blog and then it would have been easy to decide. He is right, of course, but knowing me, it would have taken me another 10 days and I preferred to start it now and then see what comes out of it.

So far creating a blog has been easy. I seemed to have figured out what buttons to push and it seems to be saving the content the way I intended.

If you read my blog and see some tips and tricks that I could use to make it better, let me know. Your assistance will be appreciated.
